Helping Build the World’s First All-inclusive Surf Centre!

Well, we knew that volunteering to help with the DIY SOS special for Children in Need at Caswell Bay would be an incredible experience but having seen the episode last night, we’re absolutely blown away. The planning, craftsmanship and effort that went into building the world’s was immense, and all done in the middle of a pandemic. Not easy by any means, but everyone pulled together (well, while staying 2 m apart) and cracked on to get it finished.

But while the build itself was awe-inspiring, that’s nothing compared to the instructors, volunteers and kids at Surfability.

If you managed to catch the episode, you’ll know what we mean. Watching the children get a chance to take part in a sport that’s often inaccessible to them and have so much fun in the surf was something we definitely won’t forget in a hurry. Seeing the absolute joy on their faces was priceless. We wish Surfability all the best with the great work they do and send a big thank you to the DIY SOS team for letting us be a part of such a worthwhile project.
